Arrow Locates – Private Utility Locate Disclaimer

Scope of Services

Arrow Locates provides private underground utility locating services intended to identify and mark privately owned utility lines and structures located within the specified work area. These services are limited to private utilities and do not include any public or municipality-owned facilities that must be located through the applicable One Call system. All markings are based on available site conditions and information provided at the time of service.

Limitations of Liability

Arrow Locates exercises reasonable care and professional judgment in performing locate services but cannot guarantee the absolute accuracy or completeness of any marks, depths, or utility identifications. Subsurface conditions, non-conductive materials, abandoned or untraceable utilities, and inaccessible areas may prevent accurate detection. Arrow Locates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including but not limited to property damage, personal injury, or business interruption arising from or relating to the use or reliance on locate markings.

Client Responsibilities

The client is responsible for contacting the appropriate One Call service prior to excavation, providing accurate site information and safe access for locating, and maintaining all utility markings once placed. The client must excavate carefully and follow all safe digging practices, including exposing utilities by hand within the appropriate tolerance zones before mechanical excavation.

Agreement and Acknowledgment

By authorizing or accepting services from Arrow Locates, the client acknowledges and agrees to the terms outlined in this disclaimer. The client further acknowledges that Arrow Locates’ responsibility is limited solely to the performance of the locate services as described herein, and that all risk associated with excavation or construction remains with the client or contractor performing such work.
